UF/Brevard County Extension Service offers Financial Management Classes
BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brevard County Agriculture and Extension Service and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences will offer the following Financial Management programs in May and June:
Become Captain of Your Financial Ship: Financial management program, meets bankruptcy debtor education requirements. Held at Palm Bay Ext. Office, 1455 Treeland Blvd., June 19; 1– 5 p.m. Cost:$20
Foreclosure Prevention: For families facing foreclosure. Learn to prepare a budget, foreclosure options, and the foreclosure process. Required for one-on-one counseling. Held at the Palm Bay Ext. Office on June 18; 6 -8 p.m. Cost: $10.
Budgeting Basics: Learn to prepare a budget, reconcile accounts and stretch dollars. Held at Cocoa Ext. Office, 3695 Lake Drive, on May 23; 10 a.m. – noon. Held at Palm Bay Extension Office June 26; 2 – 4 p.m. Cost: $10.
Credit 101: Learn how to use credit wisely and pay down debt. Held at Cocoa Ext. Office on June 20; 1 – 3 p.m. Held at Palm Bay Ext. Office May 24; 10 a.m.– noon. Cost: $10.
Saving and Investing: Learn how to get on the path to financial security. Held at Cocoa Ext. Office on June 20; 10 – 11:30 a.m.; Held at Palm Bay Ext. Office May 24; 2 - 3:30 p.m.. Cost: $10.
Buying & Selling on Internet Venues: Learn the basics of setting up an account to purchase or sell items via Ebay and Amazon & look at other internet buying/selling options. Held at Cocoa Ext. Office on May 23; 2 4 p.m. Held at Palm Bay Ext. Office on June 26; 10 a.m. - noon. Cost: $10.
