Youth Basketball Registration at Rodes Park Community Center
WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. - Brevard County Parks and Recreation is hosting a youth basketball league starting in May at the Rodes Park Community Center.
Registration for the league will be held at the community center from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14. Participants must be present with a parent or adult guardian at registration for a skills evaluation and should wear appropriate attire.
The league fee is $50 per child and includes a uniform shirt and an 8- to 10-game season. The age divisions for the youth league are 5-6 years, 7-8 years, 9-10 years, and 11-13 years.
Practices will begin on Monday, April 23, and will be held on weekday evenings. Practice days will be determined by the coaches. Games will begin on May 5. Games will be played on Saturdays for age divisions 5 – 10 years and Thursday evenings for age division 11 – 13 years. Volunteer coaches are needed.
All activities are conducted and supervised by Brevard County Parks and Recreation staff at the Rodes Park Community Center at the new Max K. Rodes Park, 3410 Flanagan Ave. in West Melbourne. For more information, call (321) 952-3215. |
